We were off to a great start...

This is me on my birthday.
Why the long face?
The mean airport security made me throw out my full bottle of Aveda Curly De-Frizz because, apparently, they have something against those of us who are hair sensitive.
Screw you Ministry of Aviation.
You owe me $40. I don't care what the rules are. It was my fricking birthday.
Arse-holes.

Build A Freakin' Bear

Sigh.

Has anyone heard of "Build A Bear"? This bizarre store where people pick their bear (unstuffed), stuff it (see left), dress it, name it, etc., etc.

Annie, Krista and I did this for Ashley's birthday.

It took almost 1 1/4 of an hour.

It was ridiculous.

Besides that, it is located in the mall.

At least Ashley liked it. I'm never going back.

Happy Birthday Dad!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

Yes, it's my dad's 51st birthday (OWN IT!), and he's having his desired quiet day at home. Starting with the Turkish Grand Prix at 7:30AM (we'll ignore the 91 years of genocide denial), followed by the red meat extravaganza (see previous post) with a brunch of steak and eggs. Something must be said for the combination of red meat and eggs. Protein overload, I may never recover.

Some of you know my dad, but if you don't I'll fill you in using the astrological information so you can get a better idea of who he is.

First, he was born on Saturday, August 27th at 6PM, 1955 (Year of the Goat). So this means he's:

51 years old
2,662 weeks old
447,086 hours old
OR...
1,609,511,257 seconds old

So, he's a Virgo. Which means he's practical (very), intellectual, diligent (almost annoyingly so), hates sloppy workers (this is VERY true), and modest.

The top song in 1955 was "Ain't That A Shame" by Fats Domino (how appropriate).

You can boil 5.94 ounces of water with the heat from 52 candles.

And...you share a birthday with Mother Theresa.

If you know my dad even a little, you'd know that this fits him to a T.

Although, if you do know my dad he would say that astrology is a bunch of horsecrap.

But that's why I love him. My big, nerdy dad.

Happy Birthday!
